THE STRATA CHAIR N1
Description
A study in balance. The Strata Chair N1 pairs a mirror polished stainless steel frame with a slim spun tray, a softly domed seat and a crescent backrest in full grain aniline leather. Three tapered legs, one at the front and two at the rear, carry it lightly, and the crescent wraps the back in a single line.
Details. Upholstery: full grain aniline leather, in seven colours. Frame: mirror polished stainless steel. Dimensions: height 78 cm, seat height 46 cm, width 52 cm, depth 54 cm. Made to measure on request, as a bespoke commission.
The First Edition. Made for twelve homes: twelve sets, each of one to eight chairs, in any of the seven leathers. Every chair is numbered within its set, and every set is recorded to its owner with a certificate of authenticity sealed by hand in wax. Larger sets and bespoke requests are made separately, by arrangement.

Polished steel
A tripod of polished stainless steel: one leg at the front, two flanking the rear. Light in a room, architectural in presence.
Aniline leather
Full grain aniline leather, dyed through rather than painted over. It softens, darkens and keeps a memory of the life around it.
The crescent
A wraparound backrest cantilevered from a single spine. Angular construction, softly curved form.

How long does it take?
Each Strata is made to order once a set is reserved. We will confirm timings, and your set number, when we write to you personally.
Can it be made to measure?
Yes. Dimensions and leather can be tailored as a bespoke commission, made separately from the First Edition. Write to us and we will talk it through.
How do I care for aniline leather?
Keep it out of strong direct sunlight, wipe with a soft dry cloth and treat it once or twice a year with a good leather balm. Marks and patina are part of its character.

The Strata N1 is a UK Registered Design, No. 6516508, created in London by Maison Vervé.
